About Aurelo
Aurelo answers questions about the Bible with the Bible’s own words. Ask about a topic or a passage, and the answer quotes the verses that speak to it from the King James Version.
The answers are written by AI. The quotes are checked word for word against the King James text before you see them. Each quote is numbered, so you can read the verse and the passage around it.
The words around the quotes are the AI’s. They say who is speaking, to whom and where, and sometimes sum up what the verses say. They can be wrong, and an answer can leave out a verse that matters. That’s why every quote points to its source.
On subjects Christians disagree about, such as divorce, war or women in church, the answer gives the passages each side relies on and leaves the conclusion to you.
The words of Jesus are in red, as the King James text we use marks them. If you ask what Jesus said, Aurelo searches only his words.
Sources and technology
- The text: the 66 books of the King James Version, in the standardized text of 1769, from eBible.org. We keep its spelling, such as “shew” and “neighbour”.
- Finding the verses: Nave’s Topical Bible and Torrey’s New Topical Textbook, both from the 1890s, help find the verses on a subject. The section headings come from the Berean Standard Bible. Its wording is never quoted.
- The AI: Google’s Gemini helps find the verses, and OpenAI’s GPT-6 Luna writes the answers.
